“Nomad – Symbian Timeline” is the companion novel or “paraquel” to “Nomad – Earth Timeline” by sci-fi author R.R. Morris. Both of these novels are science fiction of the colorful kind, and one or the other can be read first. If you enjoy sci-fi with a lot of fast-paced action, unusual characters with exotic names, a sweet and simple love story and a satisfying ending, you will love these novels by Mr. Morris. Although Nomad – Symbian Timeline begins some years before the events of Nomad – Earth Timeline, it can be read after Nomad – Earth Timeline; I read them in that sequence and thoroughly enjoyed them both.Nomad – Symbian Timeline takes the reader to a far away region of space and tells the story of the Symbians, who have been traveling for centuries in an attempt to find a new home planet. As they travel they discover and pick up a small, brass capsule floating alone in space. An alien life form with amazing intelligence and almost unlimited power escapes the capsule and takes over the Symbian ship. This alien then decides to assist the Symbians in finding a new planet, but the journey is grueling and at one point takes the ship on a harrowing, near-fatal trip down the outside edge of a black hole. As their journey through space continues over the years, the Symbians suspect that the alien may have an agenda of his own.
Nomad – Earth Timeline begins when the first visitors from the Symbian ship come to Earth to extract its water – and to kill anyone resisting them. These visitors are Maugers, a genetically-altered, mutant form of the peaceful Symbians. The Symbians stay aboard the ship; they have many human qualities and are likeable, endearing people. The Maugers are, for the most part, decidedly not endearing! The battle for Earth is global and devastating, but the intelligence of Earth’s humans meets the challenge and their fierce defense of their home is unwavering.
Both Nomad – Symbian Timeline and Nomad – Earth Timeline have mysterious events, exotic life forms, courageous acts, twists and turns and some lovely moments. I will read both of them again and am looking forward to it!

RR Morris' second novel is as exciting and on the edge of your seat as the first with great in-depth characters and exciting conclusions. J.Trier
I loved this book and can't wait to read the next one which is written from a different perspective. The characters are, once again, quite believable. I had a difficult time visualizing the Symbians at first but that is probably my shortcoming. I am always amazed that sci-fi authors can conjure up awesome species with their accompanying world. I also thought the science appeared real and there was a lot of action so the book went by pretty quickly.
So I am waiting with bated breath for the next one!
